... to the home page of Marek Tomaszewski. Born in Krakow, Poland, the pianist who is now residing in Paris, was a former partner of the Polish world-class piano duo Marek & Vacek. Now  returning after many years of abstinence to the concert stage. And he is back with a second solo-album, "Rapsodia",  as well as new and exciting projects for the future.

On 15 April 2010 Jan Kounen's movie "Coco Chanel and Igor Stravinsky" launches in German cinemas. The film was the celebrated final movie of the Cannes Film Festival 2009, with Mads Mikkelsen and Anna Mouglalis in the leading roles. Marek Tomaszewski gives in this film Igor Stravinsky aka Mads Mikkelsen his virtuoso finger play and contributes with a specially composed Ragtime to the soundtrack.

At the same time we're loking forward to his 3rd Solo album "The Rite of Spring" ( "Le Sacre du Printemps"),  Igor Stravinsky's magnificent achievement of the century from 1913. It is also a world premiere  -   for the first time ever a concert pianist tackles with a solo piano version of this great work. First reactions from music experts and critics attest Marek Tomaszewski an extraordinarily impressive edit and interpretation of this masterpiece, one of the most difficult to interpret works of classical music. Marek Tomaszewski has taken himself more than three years to prepare this, his new masterpiece. We're looking forward to the CD release in April 2010.

Marek Tomaszewski is back again - we will see him in the Chopin Year 2010 being back on the stages of the international concert halls and extraordinary events ... more creative and vital than ever.
